santa barbara

santa barbara is one of my favorite places to visit. i went there for college and then didn't go for a while and when i started going back, i realized how amazing it is. a weekend escape to santa barbara truly feels like you're getting away. here are some things you don't want to miss the funk zone - wine tasting rooms all clustered in a walk-able area. don't miss this.  lucky penny - yummy food when you're drunk off the wine from the funk zone the shop cafe - my FAVORITE breakfast. don't miss this!!  los arroyos - yummy casual mexican food sunday art fair joe's  - strong drinks  the palace  - one of my fav restaurants backyard bowls - yummy acai bowls fiesta - old spanish days festival; first weekend in august  inspiration point hike visit isla vista (neighborhood where most of UCSB lives - legendary)

seattle

a few weekends ago my best friend chris and i decided to venture to seattle for a weekend of adventure. chris had never been and it had been a while for me. even though sasha and her family are from there, i hadn't done much exploring, so it was awesome to spend the weekend there. we stayed with some of sasha's family friends who live in west seattle and have the most unbelievable views. so unreal. here are some things we did: walked around capitol hill ate ice cream at molly moon's  (yum!) had brunch at tallulah's check out starbucks reserve roastery  - amazing architecture, don't miss this bainbridge island ferris wheel boeing factory tour (it's a bit outside of seattle but well worth it!) eat at luc's  seattle is a fun weekend trip, especially if you can go between july 4th and september when the weather is beautiful. the pike market is also something not to miss. good food, great views and nice people. recommend!
